Dr. Dawn Walker, D.O.

Dr. Dawn Walker is residency-trained and Board-certified in Family Practice.

Dr. Walker grew up in a military family thus moved to Tucson at a very young age. She considers Arizona her home! She pursued her Medical Degree at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Knowing that she wanted to work in rural Arizona, Dr. Walker returned to Arizona for her post-graduate training with the Midwestern University Consortium in Family Practice with preparation for rural medicine. Dr. Walker has happily practiced her family medicine dream in Willcox, AZ since 1999. She continues to teach the art of rural medicine with her Teaching Practitioner agreement with Midwestern University of Health Sciences in Glendale, AZ. Dr. Walker enjoys preparing our future physicians.

Dr. Walker is affiliated with Northern Cochise Community Hospital. She presently serves as Chief of Staff at this local hospital. On a State level, Dr. Walker serves as a member of the Arizona Osteopathic Board. On a national level, Dr. Walker is a Fellow of the American Association of Osteopathic Examiners and a Member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Personally, Dr. Walker is an avid hiker enjoying back country hiking at numerous national parks. She is also a scuba diver and has her private pilot's license allowing for her to continue with her desire for unique adventures. Dr. Walker also enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and their beautiful families.

Dr. Amanda Bennett, DNP, FNP-C

Dr. Amanda Bennett started her nursing career at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona as an ER / Trauma Nurse. Dr. Bennett began practicing medicine in 2004 when she received her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2004 from the University of Arizona College of Nursing. She has practiced Family Medicine in Willcox since 2004.

In 2009, Dr. Bennett was the first doctoral candidate to receive a Doctor of Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Arizona. Dr. Bennett is committed to the health and well-being of the Willcox community, having been born and raised in Willcox and with many of her extended family still residing in the area.

France W. Grill, FNP-C

Mrs. Grill is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She treats patients of all ages from newborn babies to hospice care. Mrs. Grill’s clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in our Willcox Clinic. She sees patients in the San Simon Clinic on Tuesday mornings and the Portal clinic on Thursday afternoons. Mrs. Grill has provided medical care in the Willcox, San Simon and Portal area for more than seven years. She owns and operates a cow and calf ranch with her husband Peter in the Chiricahua Mountains near Portal, Arizona.

Amanda Davis MSN, FNP-C

Amanda is a masters-prepared, board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her nursing career includes experience ranging from critical care to providing hands-on medical training to Pima County Corrections Officers. During her masters program, she completed two clinical rotations at Walker Family Medicine. It was then that she fell in love with Willcox and it’s small town charm. She is no stranger to small towns, growing up on a Christmas tree farm in northeastern Ohio. She currently lives in Tucson with her husband, four dogs, and potbellied pig. She has a passion for providing care to patients from all walks of life, from infant to elderly. She is excited to join the Walker Family Medicine team!

Alma Pando MSN, FNP-C

Alma is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her Master of Science Nursing degree from the University of Phoenix. Her nursing career began in 2013 and includes acute care, emergency nursing and correctional nursing experience. Alma was born to migrant farm workers and speaks Spanish fluently. She grew up in the Bonita/Willcox area and left for a brief time after she graduated from Willcox High School. The pull of her family and hometown brought her back. Her favorite pastime is being with her nieces and nephews. She is excited to practice and assist her community with their healthcare needs. Alma provides care to patients ranging from infants to elderly.

Alma es una enfermera de practica avanzada certificada a nivel nacional quien recibió su título de maestría de la Universidad de Phoenix. Su carrera de enfermería comenzó en 2013 e incluye experiencia en cuidados intensivos, enfermería de emergencia, y enfermería correccional. Alma es nacida de migrantes agrícolas y es bilingüe en español. Creció en el área de Bonita/Willcox y se fue por un breve tiempo después de graduarse de Willcox High School. La atracción de su familia y su ciudad natal la trajo de regreso. Su pasatiempo favorito es estar con sus sobrinas y sobrinos. Alma esta lista para practicar y ayudar a su comunidad con sus necesidades de atención médica. Ella brinda atención a pacientes desde bebés hasta adultos mayores.
